Cinderella in the News Again

A beautiful servant lost her fancy slipper and in the process found the Prince's heart.

Far, Far Away (Dreamland) - At the ball last week, a beautiful, but enigmatic woman who had caught the attention of the prince left suddenly, leaving all the guests and the Prince without revealing her true identity. Witnesses at the scene told reporters that she ran off at the stroke of midnight, only to be picked up by a speeding carriage.

The Prince began looking for this mysterious woman, and his only clue as to who she really was was a glass slipper which she had left on the stairs of the palace as she made her hasty escape for unknown reasons. The Prince proceeded to try the slipper on every female citizen of the kingdom, searching for his true love.

Only when the prince got to a tall, brick mansion inhabited by talking mice and various other friendly creatures, did he find the perfect fit to the slipper. But first he had to try the slipper on her two ugly stepsisters, whose feet were much too hairy and big for the slipper.

Finally, after the failed sizing attempt, Cinderella, 21, was called down to try on the slipper. The Prince was ecstatic that it fit like a glove. "The couple was seen racing through the meadow leading to the Prince's castle, happy and perfect, no doubt to be so forever..." commented Gus, Cinderella's mouse friend.
